Pick two.

Agreed, not easy.

How big is the Camaro anyway? its a 2+2 coupe is it not?

The BMW 335 is 200lbs lighter and has very useable back seats....and I think the 335 is a heavyweight. Obviously not as cheap.

It's all relative to cost. A 5 Series is lighter than a G8, and it's largely because the higher price point allows the use of more expensive materials.

It's got just as much room as any other two door sports coupe. There's every bit as much room in the back seat as in a 335i, if not more.

I think you mean, it's price point allows the use of higher profit margins

I'm not aware of any significant difference in materials, but correct me if I'm wrong

my point was it looks a lot bigger on the outside, than it really is on the inside

look at the difference between the 1's and the 3's interior space, they are very very close, but the 1's look a lot smaller on the outside

If you're not aware of any differences, then you've never been under the two cars. BMW makes extensive use of aluminium in the suspension and chassis, and also uses more exotic materials and methods in the engine construction. GM could do the same, but they'd have to raise the price.

I'm not talking about adjustments, I'm talking about materials.

What does adjustability have to do with material use? You could make a fully adjustable suspension made of pig iron and the material used would still be garbage. If the discussion is about what materials were used and how that affects the price, then whether or not the suspension can be adjusted is irrelevant. Now I have no idea what the Camaro suspension is, it could be steel, aluminum, magnesium alloy, diamond; I have no idea at all.

No one is knocking the suspension on the Camaro, but you're simply wrong if you think GM has been able to make extensive use of aluminium under this car as you find on modern BMWs and other more expensive cars.

The front subframe is still steel, and there's still a LOT of stamped steel in the rear as well.

GM has built a nice car at this price point, but weight savings costs money, and anyone who denies that is a fool.

I believe this is false, it's now an aluminum subframe

I suggest you go to a dealer and look at the car, your giving out incorrect information

and if you think GM is unable to do it, you have not seen the specs on the current vets either

I never said GM couldn't do it, I said they couldn't do at at the price point of the Camaro.

The Vette costs $10k more, and is a two seat sports car. Apples to oranges.

John Hennessey is the biggest joke around. He was chased away from the LX guys a couple years ago because he ripped off a few members and who can forget his epic meltdown on the 300cforums a few years ago.
