also my main concern is the paintjob. When I had a grille painted on my old car, it was different to the rest of the car even though it was the same paint code.

Given my car is now 6 yrs old, if I had the bodykit painted fresh, would they differ in colour? Any suggestions to reduce this variance?

Yes the E92 M-Sport kit will fit the E93.

With painting, it depends on your panel shop. Competent shops will have no problem color matching.

Unless your bonnet and panels are in bad shape, I don't think you should worry about the new painted parts. Eventually when you do a detail for the whole car the clear will look similar, its not like the kit's paint will stand out so much that your car will look funny.
