Come to think of it...my car is pretty old

Hey all,

Was wiping down my doorjambs today after a quick wash and realised something. I was always aware of when my car was built but only realised how significant this is when you look at the numbers in perspective. I drive an E90 330i and it's build date is: 03/05 That's 1 month short of 6 1/2 years! I still have yet to meet an owner with an earlier build date. What's your build date and mileage? I'm at 124,080km (77,099miles) and pulling stronger than ever! Here's a very recent pic of my car.

While my car isn't as old as yours, yet it's hard to believe that we've had our '07 335i for almost 5 years already. I haven't kept any car that long before which says a lot about the engaging driving experience and the memories with which the car has served me.

Here's to another 6 1/2 years of happy motoring!

While your car may feel that it is old...the car looks and sounds amazing.

04/05 here with 130029k. I love the car. I track down new squeeks and rattles every now and then though, and I've come to terms with the fact a car with 130k on it isn't going to look perfect but I can sure try.

You are a true OG!!!

Man nice to see you painted the rear bumper...poor thing was looking rough last time I saw it.

The fact that you are a pro when it comes to knowing these cars inside and out probably has a lot to do with how solid your car is after so many years.

I can't even change a light bulb lol.

Time for me to get a manual and learn some things. I intend to keep this car for a while.

Haha...never heard of duct tape or panel bond?

I picked it up CPO at 64,000...now it's got almost double that. And yes...most if not all of those km's I've put on were driven hard...and I will continue to drive it hard

The only part I had to replace was the waterpump which went at around 100,000km and covered under warranty.

Haha...thanks Nick. I'm nowhere near the true meaning of being an OG. "Old Guy" is more like it if you're going to use "OG" to describe me...just like my car

You are very perceptive bro...but, I'd hate to lie to you. I still haven't found time to paint my front and rear bumper. Not afraid it'll rust as it's plastic so I just slapped on some touch-up paint and voila!

It helps to know your car when you have to live with it day in, day out. I'm a firm believer of "prevention is 9 tenths cure"...having said that sometimes I wish I didn't know what I know when your car starts acting up and the mileage starts to rack up.

You too have come a long way from the first time we met. You've done a great job on your car and it's exactly what you told me you'd do to it. Keep up the good work bro!
