has anyone painted there window trim?

I was wondering if anyone has just, straight up painted their chrome window trims to get that shadow line effect...and if so, have there been any problems? (chipping, fading, etc...)

+1 Had a local shop paint mine Matte Black w/ 1 clearcoat. Looks amazing and has held up flawlessly so far

240 is not too shabby with clearcoat. I wonder if anyone has done the glossy black.
