My car has Gloss Black Performance Grilles fitted. I'm thinking of trading the car in. I still have the Chrome Grille with Black slats which were on the car for something like a week.

Obviously it will make no difference to the trade in value so the question is

Which is worth more in a private sale the Chrome or the Black? Or even,

Which is more likely to sell?

It shouldn't but the black grills are desirable especially on here as a part considering it's pretty expensive to source them direct from BMW themselves.

That was my original thinking, but I also thought that as most folk will have kept the chrome ones then there may have been a larger market for people wanting to replace damaged originals.

If Gloss black performance grills are original bmw, then they worth more than standard one, and will go for 60-80 here.

Well I would consider taking the gloss black ones off your hands if you want to sell them provided they're in a1 condition.
