I just purchased a 2011 135. I didn't notice at the dealer when I purchased the car, but when I got home and popped the hood, I found a BMW performance kit sticker right in front of the motor. The dealer says they cant tell me if I have it unless I want to pay the labor for them to hook my car up since nothing is wrong with the car. Any other way to tell?!?!

If you have PPK, you have heat exchangers in both ducts in the front bumper -- one is an oil cooler (stock) and the other is an auxilliary radiator (part of the PPK kit).

Get a flashlight and take a look!

I will give that a try! Isnt PPK 1 just an ECU flash though?

Stage one is just the ecu flash - I have it on my car. As far as I could tell; the sticker was the only difference.

Please note I am not a mechanic and may be completely wrong

If it has the sticker it's very likely it has the power kit software. The only question is whether the previous owner installed the additional radiator and upgraded fan. Should be really easy to tell by looking at the driver's side air duct in the bumper. If you can see a radiator on the driver's side, it definitely has the full power kit.

You can buy it either way right now, but I can't remember if it has always been this way:

You can buy the software kit if you have the sport package and oil cooler. PPK2 includes the aux fan and additional cooling.

What is the difference from the Stock Map? I'm assuming only a couple horses difference?
