BMW noob with an oil question

Hey guys, I'm sure this has been asked before, I did try searching for the answer and could find one...

My 330i has a little over 80k, what oil should I be using?
0w-30
0w-40
5w-30
10w-30

I've always used Mobil 1 in the past for my other cars (everything from GTI's to Sierra's)

Thanks in advance!

p.s. how many qrts do I need?

there are many different oil threads, enough to drive you crazy, i suggest call your nearest bmw service center and ask them / use the bmw oil and filter from your nearest bmw dealer. my 335xi takes around 6qrts

I've used both oem at the dealer 5w30 and when I did it myself I would use mobil1 0w40. But always used a filter from the BMW parts counter. I thought these used 6.5qts but id double check.

+1

I've used Mobil 1 consistently for over 20 years in a wide range of cars/engines, without a single internal mechanical issue in any of them.

Enough evidence for me to continue with this excellent oil...

Apparently you didn't see the sticky in the maintenance section on this very subject. We never talk about oil on this forum. Thanks for bringing the subject up as a topic of discussion.

Yep.

I get the Mobil 0W40 LL01.

A lot of times, Walmart has it. ECS tuning also sells a kit, with filter oil, etc.
