Park light on AT stays on??

Maybe I never noticed before but is the orange light indicating the car is in park always supposed to stay lit? I walked by my parked and locked car and noticed it was on....never noticed before.

its normal itll turn off after mayb 5-10 min

YES its normal till car goes into sleep mode.

Thanks...just never noticed before. Wonder what the purpose of keeping that one little light on is for anyway?

Beats me. If you sit in your car after turning it off there are a lot of weird noises. Things shutting off and such. Then when it finally finishes and goes to sleep mode the light turns off.

Yeah when i sit in my car at night when i stalk my ex it always freaks me out when it starts making weird noises lol
