Any Excel nerds in here?

Afternoon all.

I'm wondering if anyone can advise me on this: I'm using MS Excel 2011 on a Macbook Pro. I have 52 sheets of data opened on the same workbook and would like to total data up from 1 particular box into a summary sheet at the end. Does anyone have any quick formula's that don't require me to go through every god damn sheet, manually adding them? Wouldn't be so bad if I had a separate mouse - but it's a complete ball ache on a tracker pad.

I've googled it - but none of the suggestions help.

Thanks.

Don't worry chaps, I've worked it out.

=SUM (<sheet number>:<sheet number>!<cell number>)

You could just amend the sheet number on the formula.
Eg:

=Sheet1!A1+Sheet2!A1 etc.

EDIT:

You got it

You could just sub-contract it to a data centre in India

I know what you mean here.
But I will take it from OPs' post that macbook pro is not as user friendly as windows

It's still relevant to know that he was using a Mac. Whatever OP was trying to do, maybe he doesn't use the formula bar and you have to do it through menus, menus in Excel in Windows aren't the same in Excel for Mac.

Just incase the relevance of the machine mattered. As it happens, it didn't. I know there's allot of keystrokes/shortcuts that I can't do using the Macbook - actually, that was another question i wanted to ask. Does anyone know how I can switch between sheets using it? Normally, I can use the 'pgup' and pgdwn' keys on a 'normal' laptop/pc...no idea on the Mac.

It's a shame your original question was answered. I was going to call Mrs rich1068. She's an Excel Uber-Geek. She can make grown computers weep with her spreadsheets.
