It's fun

I lined up against a GT-R, thing was a full second faster than me, and his MPG was in the 118 range I think...musta been stock. Also raced against my buddy in his Jag. S-type R (supercharged). He's running in the 104mph range at low 14s.

I was getting some big timing pulls, I can post logs this evening if anyone is interested. I have never had timing pulled like I was last night, it must have been the high IAT's, or maybe I needed more octane, though I thought I had enough to run the Race Map on Cobb.

Hey fellas, just wanted to post some logs that I finally got around to graphing (the Datazap program is awesome!). These are some logs from my last time out at Bandimere, running the Cobb race gas map, with approx 100 octane in the tank. DA was about 8500' that day.

As you can see, I was having some pretty significant timing pulls, do you think running the race map on that day was too aggressive? Fuel trims look pretty good to me, but I am definitely no expert.

Bandimere is opening up less than a month from now for some fun runs on April 12th. Who is going to be there this year (I am going to try and make it this time)?

I think that's the weekend Kevin was trying to get a BMW Dyno day going. If the dyno day doesn't happen I'll definitely be there.

I probably won't make any weekends until ski season is done, but definitely would love to make it to the track this summer.

Saturday is only for the first one or two weeks, then after that they do them on Wednesdays. Heard Bandimere repaved this year too.

I'm going to try and be there on the 12th. Hoping for some cooler weather, aggressive map on the Cobb, 2nd gear start and low 13s.

How much does altitude affect the quarter mile times in these cars? I'm currently down in San Antonio but getting relocated for the military up there to the denver area.

My car has been able to spit out a 12.8 down here where it's fairly flat, just trying to get a ball park of what to expect when moving up there.

In general, forced induction does better at altitude, but you'll still be somewhat slower. For example, 5.0s (NA) will run around 14s qtr mile vs mid to high 12s at sea level. I did a 14.1 stock in my 335 vs mid 13s at sea level. If you were running 12.8, I'd bet you are around a 13.3-13.5 at Bandimere.
