Replace Subs under seat for better Bass?

Im looking to get a little better Bass - low end response out of my HI-FI system. Are the Subs under the seats worth replacing? can I get more low end out of a better speaker? Or is the only solution something I need to install in the Trunk. Looking for a solution under $500 that looks factory...

Yeah you are no good at searching, LOL.

SWS-8 for an "all-in-one" bass solution. No direct fit but an easy installation, with some spacers from JTSherri. Need a harness from Technic, and a stereo or mono amp. 150W RMS per side is about right.

to get better bass, you can use the sws-8 as replacements - but - this will do very little unless you also add an amp to power them.

What kind if music do you listen to? I had SWS-8s and loved the improvement. However my desire for more bass ending in me blowing them with a JL 500/1....They're only 8", you can only get so much from them. I listen to mainly rap/hip hop and electro.

I now use the JL 500/1 to power a trunk sub and have my stock underseats amped and bandpassed from 65Hz to 150Hz. Trunk sub handles everything below 65Hz. Sound is just about where I want it. I think the MS-8 is next.

+1 on the amp. Even the stock woofers sound better with external amplification.

Just looking for some input here fellas, but would the SWS speakers be a noticable upgrade if I do NOT install an amp as well? Speaker upgrade would be the end of it.

Thanks in advance.

NO, replacing just the woofers will NOT improve anything. In fact, the aftermarket speakers are likely less efficient (and have different impedance) and you could end up with even less bass.
