I love my poorboys 50/50 wax off detailed image. Comes off super easy and it makes the paint look amazing.

Thats because PB's black hole is a glaze, not a wax. It alters the shapes of the swirls so they are less noticeable and fills them in.

I have seen almost all of them and work with them on the daily. Insignis looks the best of them, Shield lasts the longest and is the most protective(I own this myself). I believe Shield is the best of Swissvax's middle range waxes. You have to polish the paint with cleaner fluid regular before applying though. They sell very small bottles of this though.
Also Blau Weiss doesnt do anything for the orange peel.

Waxed my Sapphire Black E92 today. I couldn't be happier with the results. Clayed it first. Tried Dodo Juice Lime Prime as a cleaner, but wasn't happy. Applied Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing lotion by hand, and removed with microfiber by hand. Ended up with a very clean smooth surface. Topped it off with Dodo Juice Purple Haze, removed with a DA orbital waxer with a microfiber bonnet. Turned out pretty amazing.

I wish I could say I had the same experience with Dodo wax. I tried a panel pot of their Blue Velvet Pro and have only used it on about 5 panels. Absolutely no change of looks even though they are only about 5-10% from wax. I also found application to be painfully difficult. Zymol Glasur should be on the way in the next 2 weeks or so. I will do a review for you guys.

I could see it being difficult removing it by hand. With cool weather(60 degrees) it worked of pretty easy with an orbital.

Bouncers and Dodo basically were formulated by the same original team. Bouncer has a cult following and Dodo went more mainstream.
The Swissvax products are nice but work best within the system as someone else mentioned and are pricey.
Have you tried a sample pot of supernatural at any time, it's really nice has the same life expectancy and shine.
Why do you not like Pinnacle, something like signature series II is a nice mid priced wax, fuzion is nice as well but a bit more in line with swissvax in price. Yes I know they are differnet brands but all PBMG.
Honestly it's in the eye of the beholder and I use sealants as a base coat on everything and layer to whatever look is my flavor of the month.

Apologies for slightly hijacking the thread (thought it best not to start another choose my next wax thread!!).

I'm relatively new to detailing and my first wax is now all gone so looking for a replacement.

Was using Farcela Super Paste Wax (was a cheap starter from Halfords) and got on really well with it.

Looking at AG HD wax next but can anyone recommend a better wax for around the £50 mark?

Car is Le Mans Blue if that makes a difference.

Cheers.

I have supernatural as well as swissvax shield and while supernatural looks insanely good, it doesnt hold up very long at all. Shield looks nearly as good.

I do not like supernatural and others on AGO will agree. I just don't like the PBMG waxes because they contain fillers and fuzion's sheeting and beading is garbage. It should be a $50 wax at the most, not a $100 wax.

Going to order Zymol Glasur next week. Black Ice is a PBMG wax and I don't really want a wax that stains everything black.

I'm very happy with the results from this:

On a black car - Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant followed by Chemical Guys Pete's '53 Black Pearl Signature Paste Wax

On a gray car - Blackfire Wet Diamond sealant followed by Chemical Guys Butter Wet Wax

All are super easy to use and give a supremely slick finish with great depth and gloss.

Ehh I leave the collinite for my boat. The car is kept in a garage and is really only driven 30-50 miles a week. Probably on the lower side of that estimate. Im most likely going to order Glasur next week.

I have a pot of AG HD and did not like applying it/removing it but it did bead very nicely. If you're looking at spending around 50 pounds, check out Victoria waxes such as Mayhem or Chaos. And don't forget about Chemical Guy Pete's '53.

just because the car is driver 30 to 50 miles a week doesnt mean its out of the elements. i see your in SC, you have a dark colored car, temperatures on the surface of your paint will reach over 150 degrees and you need a wax that will tolerate that. collinite 915 works well too. im not saying you shouldnt try other waxes, i have tried them most of them, and i always recommend waxes with protection properties, multiple thin layers, etc.
something that lasts long is better in the long run because less rewaxing means less times you have to wipe the surface of the paint (less potential to scratch or swirl), easier to remove bird droppings, dirt, etc.

I got the new wax in yesterday. I cant wait to use it and make a review. It smells AWESOME! It make me want to actually eat it. I have some Poorboy's Natty Red paste wax on the way too.

Can you guess what it is?
