PTF Etune Group Buy v2

For those who missed out on the first round

www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=852178

And would like to get onboard, PTF are happy to do a group buy price of USD200 for 10 people. Usual price is USD250. Very popular tuning route and great value as well. Essentially you can get free map revisions for additional bolt on mods, and get more power and drivability as opposed to Cobb OTS maps.

Who's keen?

Afaik, they send you a base map based on your mods. You run it to log 3rd gear pulls, email them the log file and they send you a revision on your map tailored to your car's parameters. Rinse and repeat until you are happy with how the car drives. Anywhere between 2-5 revisions.

I'm currently running stage2+ aggressive, is this treated as base map?

Dont people take their cars to a actual tuner with a dyno? Surely this back and forth process is risking potential unknowns?

dyno is one way of doing it... sending logs to PTF is another way of doing it and people have had some pretty good results.

Road tuning is actually preferable compared to dyno tuning, and will provide better custom results as the dyno cannot accurately simulate the load/driving conditions as you would on the road/track.

Quick update, PTF are happy to extend the GB pricing to us for a minimum of 5 people now. I have in total 3, and need another 2 more. Planning on closing this out by the end of the week, so jump in if you are keen.

You don't need to begin the eTune process straight away after purchase, you will be able to sit on it until you are ready. The validity of the eTune doesn't expire, and map revisions and updates are free, provided they are for the same fuel type. So even if you don't have a Cobb AP right now but will be getting one in the near future, don't miss out!
