Chips and Wear Marks in Leather

I have a few chips in the "leather" in the console. The handle well also has some chips and looks to be the same cheap ass material. Maybe some crappy Chinese paint over plastic. Is there a paint or something that I can fix this with? It looks like the Archillies heal of the car - cheap ass vinyl covering. Damn it.

Also, the leather has worn on the arm rests. I have seen online there are leather repair kits, but I know I will stuff it up. What would someone charge to fix this?

My baby looks sexy as, but this minor things annoy the hell out of me.

hey mate im not sure if your in melbourne or not but there is a company called absolute leather this is their website he is one of my customers i have see his work and its really high quality. Cost wise its around $350-$450 this is his website http://www.leatherrepair.net.au/

The original steering wheels had the same problem - plastic coating peeling off with use - I've read that BMW changed the coating at some stage to make it more robust.

My own wheel had that problem (as does the driver side door hole like yours) and I simply replaced the steering wheel facia with a new one for about $70.

You might need to simply find the latest part numbers from RealOEM and replace them - depends how long you plan to keep your car.
