Concours Finish Detail: 07 Jet Black 328i
Hey all, new to the forums here and thought I'd post a detail I did. Originally thought this would take 6-8 hrs but I inspected the car while it was overcast and turns out that wasn't a good idea. Ended up taking me 13 hrs total but the owner was ecstatic.
Process: Wheels APC+ diluted 4:1 Clay Wash ONR /w Lowes Grout Sponge WW towel for drying Polishing Prima Swirl on 6.5" Orange Lake Country Pad x 3 Prima Swirl on 6.5" White Lake Country Pad x 1 Prima Amigo on 6.5" White Lake Country Pad x 1 Interior APC+ 10:1 Prima Nourish leather conitioner LSP Prima Epic Sealant on Grey 6.5" LC pad Equipment used Porter Cable 7336 Rigid 4550 Shop Vac Bissell LGCM Didn't post any interior shots because it was very clean to begin with. Before Shots. It had rained the night before so it had a dust layer. Figured I'd use ONR. Before Shot of the trunk Hood Before. I see holgrams, swirls and water spots. Taped up and ready for polishing Before Shot of drivers door. After shot of drivers door. Another Before And After prepped for 50/50 of hood After 3 passes of Prima Swirl on Orange LC /w PC. Not perfect but huge improvement. Another 50/50 of hood Prepped for 50/50 of rear passenger door Close-up of area to be polished 50/50. Still need to follow up with Swirl on white LC and Amigo on white LC Triple threat all over the car. Swirls, Holograms, and water spots! After. And now on to the Glam Shots Thanks for Looking. |

I started out detailing as a hobby turning into borderline obsession. I began detailing friends and family's cars and soon enough everyone wanted a detail. So after that I began charging for it. And no this is not my car.

Good job on the finish.
Have you considered investing in a rotary? Might cut your work time down a bit and get rid of those lingering scratches |
