I would keep the original

Hey Bimmers,

I recently gave my car for replacing the rt. front grill because it was broken. When i got my car after replacing and went home, after some time i noticed that they have fixed the chrome slat grill of 330 in my 325.

I want your opinion
1. change the other lt. grill to chrome
2. change the chrome to original black.

I say change it back to black... I know a lot of you switch out the black for the chrome, but I'm planning to switch the chrome out for the black.

chrome grille makes the car more executive, classy. black grilles. i find make it look more sporty. one contradiction to that are the m cars which all have chrome vertical slats ie e46 m3, e60 m5 and new m6. i chose the chrome grille in the end.

I don't think I understand what you are asking? Is there something wrong with your grill? Any photos for visual aid?

Well, I had a similar predicament to you.

I blacked out my grills - but then they chipped slightly. I was fixing them, when my sister came flying in and drove over them.

I didn't really have the choice as the dealer only had chrome ones in stock - but I like them!

Here is a little pic to help the decision:

In EU spec the 325i has the chrome grille. So do it.

I just changed mine to chrome. If you want to change your chrome to black, I'll sell you mine cheap. My car was only a few weeks old when I switched it.

part of it depends on the color of your car. i think the chrome slates go nicely with light colored cars such as silver and white. i also agree that the black slates look more sporty. since my car is sg and i now have cf front lips, i've opted not to change my stock black slates.

I will keep this in mind. I'm ordering the car next week... so, I'll send you a PM at that point.

I agree with what everyone's said on the chrome looking more classy, and the black looks sportier. Sporty is what I'm going for.

Am I reading this right? You now have a chrome RT side grill and a black LT side grill?

With the top pieces blacked out the NOW looks like it has something of a snarl.
