Just check the exhaust pipe part numbers on realOEM.com. If the 328i uses the same exhaust as the 325i, then it should work.

Took my car for a ride out yesterday on the hwy, all I can say is wow and my pbx isn't even on yet. I disabled it just to see the difference. I was pulling at 5k-6k doing 115-120 quick. The car pulls much better, I like the car to be more fun to drive and I got that with this setup. Can't wait to upgrade to stage 3 IM AND AFE header. Getting ready for work will have vids today uploaded on my lunch break.

to save some money just cut through your mid pipe after the 2ndary cat and take out the filling and reweld it back, it'll be the same thing

For some of us with N51, you do have 10yr/150k warranty on the cat, cutting might void it.

Totally dependent on what the owner wants to do with his/her car, besides who's going to look in your midpipe at the dealer/smog shop to see if your 2ndary cat filter is still there. Whoever cuts/rewelds the pipe has to make it look clean to make it so no one tampered with it. I'd worry with the primary cats being changed out after however many years and these are bolt-on's anyway. Get another set from a junkyard, same thing.

Yea, having the shells welded back on is a way to avoid future headache. But getting these or super sprint's pipes are a much cleaner approach and more easily reversible.
Other than that, it really is an amazing sound!

More backfire now. I'll give it a few more miles to adapt.

Yea some backfire is a side affect. A good one if you ask me.
You may feel a good amount of power loss at first. It can take up to a couple hundred miles for the engine to fully adapt. 1-1.5 gas tanks. From there on, power will start picking up in the mid and upper RPM range. I do believe you lose a tad bit of low end torque. That is the only downside, but hopefully a tune can compensate by increasing the low end power back up to what the car originally had, if not more.

Oh yeah, I've been through 5 different full exhaust systems in almost 3 years, but okay so far. Just gonna give it some time then straight pipe again and dyno again, last dyno 185 HP, that's so sad.

do you guys think these race pipes would be a good addition to a muffler delete on the stock exhaust?

Maybe not sure, fab work would be necessary. The whole idea is to simplify the secondary cat delete. If you don't mind cutting

Hey guys just ordered these test pipes for my 07 328xi. Is it better to just cut and take the filter out or have these test pipes welded on? performance wise?
