Funny, the article states 'they could not enforce the fine for the past two years due to the omission of the 'fine' from the bill'

Some dick head trooper pulled my over on the tollway for not having a front plate and wrote me a ticket. I had to put the plate on and then pay a fine to dismiss it. Plano owes me $10..

But, I wonder, can you still have the ticket dismissed with the new law as well? If so, f' it, I'll just get another tow hook mount and put it on to get it dismissed and then remove it again.

Ugh this is rather disappointing . May have to dig out that Skene Design front plate mount I bought when I got my car two years ago...

Nothing will change. It's not a NEW law, they just revised a mistake they made a couple of years back. They were still enforcing it during the past 2 years. It was only ever used as a means to harass people and it will continue to be used in that manner.

Weird thing is i don't put it on on both my e92 and e46, but with my e46 i get pulled over for it and never in the e92. Maybe because it stands out sittin soo low. Most of the problem is in Rowlett area. Even had an officer bring a book out to show me when i was going back and forth about it and when he couldn't find it he asked for my number so he call call me when he finds it in the books lol

both of my cars with no front plates and so far, no problems with the cops , i got pulled over over 2yrs ago regarding the front plate but since then nothing, im not putting holes on my front bumper

You can always throw it on the dash I think as well if you get yelled at.

I got a tow hook rho plate. but you can also get a plate that is mounted from underneath the front fascia of the front bumper just above the area where the inter cooler is
