8-26 map makes the top speed a bit faster.
I can feel a kick-in right after pass 90mph/3000rpm.
but i had half engine light pop up once last night, but power was still there.
overall is fine and smooth

OK, did about 150km with the new map. The car feels much faster on top. I did notice a bit of hesitation on par throttle on an uphill. The 12553 code is still there though. According to the instructions if you run rev 2 map in rev 2.5/3 the car will not start. I loaded the 2.5 /3 maps. The car started and drove fine.

Any suggestions?

ok i uploaded the maps last night the car feels alright to me the procede locked up on me 3 times everytime i uploaded the firmware...i had to restart the pc and it finally went through. i now get a reduced power message ive done the resets multiple times it will clear and then a high battery drain message will come on...car feels fine though its weird sometimes i wont have any error message. Its hitting 15 psi even with the reduced power message. I loaded the rev 2.5/3 maps and all i got was an extended crank. i might just upload the old 8-8 beta maps to see if i still get any of those warnings

If you have a reduced power message, your update wasn't successful. Please try it again and make sure you use a usb-serial cable that is 100% compatible with your operating system. You should NOT be losing communication during the firmware updating process. If you are and it takes you multiple times to update your firmware, you really need to use another cable. It's also useful to plug your laptop into a wall just in case the power saving schemes on your laptop disable comm ports erratically.

Are you sure you have a Rev2.5 or Rev3? Rev2 will still trigger that code from time to time regardless of what map you run.

running 8-26
- took it out to chuckwalla, ran map 1 and map 2.
pretty hot day, temps 90-100+, so freaking hot, dry
heat.

ran it pretty hard. Surprisingly enough the N55 temps
were excellent! Never broke past 250, ftw.

Wish there was a little bit more power on the
straight aways.
I know the power's there but the N55 doesn't response
to heat well. if the temps outside were lower, it would've been
a different story. N55 is so temperamental.

The night before loading up the new map the bimmer
ran positively well. You guys that haven't updated
ur procede yet should do so with this version.

Ivan@LTBMW ran my car on the 3rd heat.
And he was pretty satisfied with the overall performance.
Same note i had on more power on the straight aways.
At one point, he was chasing and E92 M3 on the straight aways and just
couldn't match it's speed. Again, because of the heat.

The procede + n55 handle'd excellent on the
track. Now there's some other things to work on
my e90 like M3 control arms and sways, thank gawd
i had KW V3.\

Shiv can i upgrade to rev3 -
u find a 6mt yet - i may take a trip to SF
if u haven't - let's talk.

Shiv

i wasnt losing connection during the firmware upload it would upload 100% but when the procede would get suck in when it was resetting. I just uploaded the 8-8 beta firmware and maps and it looks like its running fine. I dunno what to try next
