What valve cover gasket should I get?
Hello,
I own a 2006 325i 3.0 84k. So I was replacing the spark plugs this weekend when I noticed that on the sp #4 and #5 there was a little bit of oil between the coils and the sp. So I contacted my mechanic and he told me that I needed to replace the Valve cover gasket and he would do it for $100 + parts. I called my local dealership (vistabmw.com) and they charge $75 for the gasket plus $75 for the screw set. So I went online and I found THIS : $65 for the whole thing, tax free and free shipping. I would save roughly $100!! Now the question is, would you guys buy such an important part from a website? If so, does anybody know if that website is reliable? If not, where would you buy the part from? |

Nice find! me too I changed my spark plugs over the weekend. So easy having the right tools and thanks to the help here from our folks here in the forum. No oil on my coils or spark plugs. Actually my coils looked in good condition still. Altough my valve cover gasket needs to be replaced as well. I will be ordering one of these soon. I wonder how much is the labor for something like this by indy shop or dealer. Thanks
