Starter went out...

Turning 100k miles in the next 2 weeks, bought a water pump and thermostat housing, as I expect hose to go soon... Damn starter goes out.

What a bitch to take off. Spent about an hour and a half getting sunburnt taking it off.

At least my intake valves looked REALLY clean!

There's one bolt behind the starter very tightly close to the firewall. You will need a very small tool to get it out. Oh and be careful of all the wires in the car when taking of the manifold.

Yeah, get the right one. I just attempted to install the Bosch one I got from Advance. Not even close.
Intake manifold is a royal pain in the ass.
Don't drop any bolts, they're all aluminum, and if you drop them they're gone forever, unless you take the bottom plate off. (Can't retrieve them with a magnet

I'm leaving the manifold in there, I can't seem to get it out, I'm working around it.

Looks like that California Starter is the way to go! Great price and 12 month warranty.
