Cobb AP Review
335xi 6MT- 2008
I recently had the flash installed. Dyno results These have been posted before. @ 80WHP over stock and 100ft/lb over stock Drivability After coming off the JB3 (which I loved) the power comes on earlier, stays longer and is incredibly smooth. It feels just like a stock pull, just SOOO MUCH MORE Power. The AWD was breaking free easily in 1st and a bit in second. I actually had to pay attention, the car was a bit unruly! With the torgue band coming on so quick, you really feel it at the beginning of the pull. AccessPort This is probably the best part of the tune. It came loaded with 4 maps; Stg 1 93 Octane Stg 1 91 Octane Valet Map 0 (stock) Stage 2 and custom maps for modded cars are on the way! I can hold up to 10 different maps on my AP unit- all of which I can easily pull off of their webite as they become available. It takes about 20 minutes to load the flash, about 2 seconds to switch. The handheld unit is very intuitive and simple to navigate. Along with map management, I can view realtime info from rpm-afr-boost(no need for a boost guage)-iat etc. There are like 12-15 parameters. While watching, it records mx/min levels on the screen. It can log up to 10 hrs of all of these parameters and with the usb cable (provided of course) you can dump all of this onto your PC and manage using the cobb management software. The AP also allows you to read and clear all codes (no need for the BT tool). Additionally, the AP can log 0-60 pulls and 1/4 mile pulls! While I understand that the V4/5 and JB4 can also do most if not all of these functions, the best part is that after pulling my JB3 last night I NEVER HAVE TO ACCESS MY ECU AGAIN!. Gone are the days of planning the 30-45 minute "removal session" prior to a dealer vist. Checklist- Power YES Smooth YES Simple to use YES Scalable with my mods YES Stealthy YES Safe YES Data Logging YES Clear codes YES

Good to hear.
If possible you should post up some logs for everyone to see how they look. Boost, timing...the more the better. This will give us a much better picture of how the car is running. Thanks! Alan

Excellent review. I hope they work on something that will switch maps automatically if there is a meth failure. Even If you have to run a few wires to make that happen.

Do you/ Are you leaving the AP in your car at all times? How does it relate to cold temps (under 20 degrees) and over 100 degrees? Issues?

Gary - 2007 support soon please. I'm interested. May keep my current tune and buy yours as well. Of course would uninstall what I have now before trying yours.
