the reason why something like this hasnt happened in the past is because when someone roganises something bmw related, the turnout isnt large at all. Also, the second someone does something different, it is looked upon as a 'rice' mod. For example, LEA69's wheel mods

It only takes a few people to make it happen and we'll make it happen, eventually. All it takes is one or two 'smaller' meets to get up the interest and before you know it we'll have something pretty good. No one is saying we're going to get something like bimmerfest here.
As for the mods, there isn't any hating on mods, personally i'm not a fan of ridiculous mods to bimmers, but i am a fan of the proper bimmer tuner mods such as Hartge, ACSchnitzer, Alpina and so on. Each to their own i say.

It's pretty simple really.
Ask any of the locals what happens if they say anything publically that is anti-govt or something, they disappear with unbelieveably quickly! It's just that things like that aren't publicised, as the govt sensors the media over there among other things.

oh ok ... but if we want to be correctly describing it, it may be closer to being a totalitarian socio-capitalist state (check Descriptions of governments). in fact, it provides less welfare services to its citizens than australia. it becomes less capitalist in the sense that a lot of the large industries/companies are owned by the government-owned and -controlled conglomerate (temasek holdings).

australia is also more socio-capitalist (just like most of the european countries where a significant portion of government spending is on welfare). we know that the government is trying to sell its share in the "old" national companies like telstra, qantas, etc. but until its welfare system changes, its protectionism from free trade is reduced or disappears, and exit from industry happens, it can't be truly a capitalist country.
