Rotors

Hey, just though i would get some advice i have been getting pulsation from my rotors most likely pad deposit i dont want to change them out but i dont think i have much of an option. thing is the pads are in awesome shape ok 33km on them anyway you think i could just do the rotors and leave the pads? if so what rotors will last and not sutter?

Youn can try rebedding them. If it comes back, you can try getting them machined, which I wouldn't advise because it makes the rotor slightly thinner, and the problem will most likely come back done the road. The most logical move is buy new rotors and pads, bed them correctly or take it easy on the brakes for several hundred miles.

exactly what he said. best bet would be a new set of rotors, and while your at it do pads as well.

new rotors = new pads. need to start with fresh pads that have an even pad so no warping.

Try flex honing the rotors first before buying new ones. Properly done, it only takes off the pad transfer layer.

You want these two things, and you will need a variable speed drill:

Flex Hone Bit

and

Flex Hone Oil

It's probably not warpage... Like you said, pad deposits. Most likely the result of driving style since it's happened to you before.

If you are an aggressive driver, try a higher temp range pad.

Thanks bud.

What you want you avoid is hard braking and then resting at a stop immediately after with your foot on the brakes while they are still hot. Try to give time for them to cool down after heavy use before prolonged stopping.

Try the flex hone and see if it goes away... If not, consider higher temp pads.
