Vlad's E91 LCI Saphire build page 2
Hi Guys,
I'm a newbie on here so decided to start a build thread for my firs e92. Its a 2.5 325I M Sport Manual in Le-mans Blue with Black Dakota. The spec is pretty poverty at the moment but let's see what we can do about that I got it from my good friend who has now upgraded to an LCI 335i. He's had it for 3 years and has looked after pretty well but after a week of owning it I managed to construct a small to do list already, i'll post updates as i go along. This is how she looked the day i collected her: This is how she stands today with new centre caps and new repeaters: Last edited by mr_vys; 06-16-2017 at 04:18 AM.. |

I've been looking at splitters but the 3 i narrowed it down to are 300-500£ option 1 is m performance option 2 is magna tuning and option 3 is this but the name is unknown and i'm pretty sure they're all made in china to a great specification and tolerances :/ I've also been busy gathering some other parts for it:
Also managed to take all the undertrays off the other day and snow foam all the underbody and covers. so satisfying! |

Hope you find a good set dude!
Over here they're very common and very prone to cracking too! Lol There was a design revision to the barrels of 225s in 2011 I think which made them a lot stronger but I've still seen cracked ones ... |

Thanks man!
Royal steering wheels, really good quality work and reasonably priced. I had the same dilemma mate, OE M-Sport knob only comes with gaiter and is around the same price and the f10 M5 one so i just went with f10 option and did the steering wheel completely smooth to match. Now the fact that the handbrake leaver is perforated is annoying me lol |

Quick update
My to do list is getting smaller
plate lights before and after LCI Rears Now for the CIC install: I didn't want to tap into any wires on the car so decided to make a plug and play loom. I bought the emulator for 55£ and quadlock extension for 16£. I then neatly joined them together and voila! Next step was to run 4 wires from JBE to the screen to power it and 4 wires for the controller (2 from JBE for power and 2 to the quadlock extension loom that i made, for control input). I then plugged it all in to see if it worked and to code it in. 15min later we were good to go! And finally the easy bit of plumbing it all in Now onto the combox .... I also made a note of all the part numbers i used and i made my own wiring diagram of the wiring which i'll upload once combox is in. Last edited by mr_vys; 12-06-2016 at 04:30 AM.. |

The trim is original piano black (diamondschwarz) but it's now being replaced with bamboo as my wife likes it ever so slightly more than piano and + I don't have a piano centre piece that would take a CIC controller :/ Didn't get a splitter just yet as the car is still standard on the outside so it may look a tad odd without lows and spacers... |
