Xi Finnaly lowered

I finally lowered my XI with KW v1, I put it for now on highest setting but the difference is definitely visible and the gap looks much better. The feeling is much better. I will make a full review after I drive a bit more but for now here are some pics:

Garage List
Nice! What wheels and spacers do you have? Any rubbing?

Thanks, I will drop it even more as soon as I sort my garage out because I wont be able to enter it if I do it now.

The rims and tires are:

BBS CH-R Black
front: 19x8.5 et32
rear: 19x9.5 et35

Michelin Pilot Super Sports
front: 235/35-19
rear: 265/30-19

No spacers and no rubbing at all even on bumps or full turn of wheel. As you can see the car is not lowered all the way but there is still space and think lowering it even more wont cause any problems.

Looks good. Similar drop to mine right now. My front is just a tad-bit lower (just a little). I drive in NYC alot so I don't care what anyone says, I am not slamming my car.

LOVE THOSE RIMS!!! I wish I could spoil myself but I am getting married next year so no go on that one.

Looks very good, so much better than standard xi suspension Are you also on highest settings with KW and did your coils settle after some time? If so how much, I just installed mine yday.

Ye I was also looking long time at those rims, my favorite but there is always something we want to do with our cars, the list is endless hehe, mod after mod. Just take it slowly and congrats on getting married

I just installed mine yday, this is one of the best mods I did, I would definitely recommend it. I live in part of Europe that gets lot of snow and the roads are not perfect, so I would thinking should I install coils or not but I just went ahead with it and dont regret it at all. I cannot give full review yet but for now I do not feels big difference in ride comfort when going over speedbumps.

I would like to see and know how they hold up over the winter. I know some coils can get pretty beat up from winter driving.

The rears are almost on the highest setting and the fronts are a bit lower than the highest setting but the KW springs do take some time to settle. I dropped it too much my first time and then I started to rub since I have spacers in the rear. Give it 1-2 weeks of regular driving and then decide how much you want to drop it additionally from there.

In reference to the winter driving... These are actually my set from my 2008 335xi. I sent them back to KW for a rebuild after I moved on from my '08. They have been through about 3 extremely harsh Northeastern winters in NYC. They will hold up just fine once you avoid those potholes that just pop up. The salt will not affect them.

Enjoy the coils tsev...

Thanks, I will also lower it just a bit more, not slam it but first waiting for it to settle to see how much. Btw. If you don't mind how much was rebuilding and how long did it take?

Coilovers make an obvious and very positive aesthetic change to the car's profile and we all love the performance. While I employed 'set it and forget it', set your height to your comfort level and adjust later as you see fit. (Some of us have craters in our neighborhoods and on our commutes.) All aside, enjoy!

When the box of KW coilovers arrives, its a joyous occasion. I'd imagine there are a few dozen X Drivers that have pictures of the box. Count me in the group.

Actually the rebuild was free. They did take a long time with it though. They took so long that they gave me 2 new rear dampers for free. Not bad but they could have done better time-wise. The rebuild was amazing on the fronts. Felt better than new (to me)...
