That can be arranged in addition to this meet. Although the dyno will largely determine who would win in a roll-on race (average HP between X and Y rpm, for instance). But it would certainly be fun and is easy to arrange safely.

I somehow see this going bad... But I would love for this to happen, and would carpool, (or maybe even caravan?) with some of the so cal guys to come and hang out. And maybe do some dyno pulls too, cuz hey, our cars are no slouches either
I concur with Shiv about everyone being nice and humble in person. Reason being? You cant get popped in your mouth over the internet.

F*cking pointless at this time. Give the guy some time to put some customer kits together.

Other tuners will get their hands on the kit. It isn't locked to one tuner.

It only has just begun.

Pointless to compare to fully developed production kits? Pointless to let people drive them? Pointless to see them up close, installed in actual cars? You, my friend, have a very different definition of pointless

Yes at this time...pointless.

Fully developed...not quite. Like I said other tuners are going to get some of the first kits and install them on their personal vehicles. Just the tip of the iceberg. To be honest Vargas shouldn't really give a rats ass about your kit. He did his job, designed/built the kit. Now let the masses get it and tune away.

He didn't say it was going to happen tomorrow, Shiv offered to host the BBQ meet when tony's kit was ready.
Please stop the hating long enough to read a whole sentence.

In terms of hosting, maybe it would be better to host it at a Neutral Dyno/Shop. I am sure we can ping a NON BMW shop like 034 (Audi guys) or Sharkwerks(Porsche). That way the tension could be cut by a completely different group of car enthusiasts and create awareness of other car guys

Just a thought.

That's fine too. Although Tony has stated that he has no problem with coming to our shop and using our dyno. We have a lot of room/parking for anyone who wants to come. The Fftec meets are pretty epic in terms of size/scale. I'm certain it won't only be BMW people who come. It would be a great place for all tuners to show transparency and provide full disclosure without the usual "gotcha" reporting on the Internet.

Here is a thought, the only one I will add to this thread. I offered a dyno shoot out / BBQ. Shiv ran from it, and refused to acknowledge it, now all of a sudden he wants one?? At this point I have zero interest in ever doing anything with or in association with anything he has his name on. If our kit runs into his kit at shift sector or the track so be it. I have zero respect for how Shiv runs his business and will not associate myself with him. I gave him the fuel he needs by figuring something out he couldn't in 4 years in a month, and basically blasted it on the forums til he got it. That is my gift to him, I evened the playing field. See you at the next event. Besides that stay out of my threads

Well actually I always play nice

Obviously I get all my work done at FFTEC and use a lot of Vishnu stuff, but I think Tony's products are very appealing, both the stage 2+ and the stage 3 stuff.

I just appreciate anyone building products to make my car faster

You have quite an opinion of yourself fine sir. First you accuse me of steeling your fuel pump technology (come and inspect it if you want) and now you back out of something that you said you would be willing to do. Show me where I backed out of anything. I merely suggested that you needed more time. And you did. And arguably still do. Which is fine. But please find me a quite that suggests otherwise. What I see is someone who talked a big talk and now sees the writing on the wall. Or rather the boost spool up data on the datalog. You're stage 1 turbos were failures. You're stage 2 turbos, judging by the last dyno, fell apart at the seams and now you are trying to pretend that you don't want to associate with me for moral reasons? Keep telling that to yourself. Maybe one day someone will do a background check on you and then we will see who is calling the kettle black.

So I guess a direct comparison, in a public environment, doesn't work for you and your turbo kit. Maybe I'll just have to swing on by your shop and see if you are willing to say the things to me personally as you do on Sticky's forum. Or maybe you can put it all in the past, apologize and then we can have a friendly race. It's up to you I guess.

I really hope he doesn't chicken out. This shouldn't be so serious. It's all for fun and developing a friendly atmosphere among the members.

Would Vargas feel more comfortable hosting it at his shop?
