If you want to get out of the East Bay, try these:
-Hwy 1 (to Stinson Beach, Mt.Tam)
-Hwy 9 (Saratoga)
-Hwy 84 (Woodside)

I went on crow canyon today on my way back from san mateo and it woulda been a lot more fun with less traffic and a higher speed limit :P

hwy 1 to stinson...that's like off-roading.... ....they seriously need to repave that road....

never took the 9 or 84...

Walnut Creek - Marsh Creek Road.single lane through hills and some nice turns. Fairly open as well...Esp at night..just be careful...lots o' skunks.It sits in the shadow of Mt Diablo.
My fave times are sunrise and Just before dusk.
