Tire Poll
Hey guys, looks like my rear tires are starting to see their last days. Time to shop around. I have narrowed it down to four tires. Which ones would you go with? Also if you think there is a better tire that I didnt list, please do share. My budge is under $200 per tire.
Something with best grip in Dry and Wet, and with the least road noise preferable.

I'm curious how this pans out. I have to buy a staggered set of 18s in a couple of months. Was going to go with Michelin PS2s as I heard they're the best RFTs.

How about a none of the above? Your best bet on getting good info is to go to Tire rack where you can see the customer reports, pro-tests & the tire prices.

I'd put the Conti ExtremeContact DW (or DWS if you must have all-season, unlikely if you're in California) on the list. It may be a bit more expensive than you're looking to spend, but it's got a great treadwear rating (340) and it provides both high grip (dry and wet) and comfort with minimal road noise. The Pilot Super Sports would also be good; they'll give you a bit more grip than the Contis at the cost of some comfort, quiet, and treadwear (300). But you may not notice the extra grip unless you're on the track, so the Contis would be better for a street-only tire.
In fact, the more I think about it, scrap the list and just buy the Contis. Seriously. The normal PS2s aren't RFTs, but there is a PS2 ZP that is. No idea how they perform, but if they're anything like the regular PS2s I suspect they are indeed the best RFT. But do you really have to have RFTs? I'd get AAA Roadside and risk some extra delay/inconvenience on any incident in exchange for the increased rid e comfort and feel any day -- not to mention the lower cost of non-RFTs.

760s are your best for the money--plus they are not directional so you can rotate them side to side on sport pkg cars.
I have the PS2 runflats and they are amazing but the rears alone are over 400 each at tirerack. |

I didn't pay much more than $200 per tire for Michelin Pilot Super Sport (non-RFTs). They are incredible. TireRack had a pretty good deal, and I think it was around $900 once all was said and done.

I put Kumho Ecstas 4x on my old 530 and I was seriously impressed. They handled just as well as Continental Extreme DW's and were much quieter.
I'd grab the Kumho's

You may want to consider Nitto as well. I put a set of Nitto Motivo's on my car for the winter. Have been on the road every rainy day so far an really impressed, and they were a lot quieter than the continentals. Even did some icy roads on the central coast and never lost any grip.

I've had the Michelin PS2 ZP RFT. They have great traction for a RFT, but I'm switching to PSS when it's warm enough to have fun with the car again.

I'm a huge fan of Toyo Proxes4. I have run these for around 10k miles and absolutely love them. Amazing grip in pretty much every road condition (even ice) and they are extremely durable. Tread wear and noise are also much better than I expected for an all-season. Price-wise they are not the cheapest and they are a little harder to find online but they are the only tires I will use and I very, very highly recommend them.

Ok, although I didnt list these on the poll, I have narrowed it down to two tires by all your recomendations:
Continental ExtremeContact DW or Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 Which one should I choose?
