Wow! This is such a great thread! Fantastic Review man. I just bought an E92 XI and am catching all the engine maintenance services up as well as my repairs. I am completely new to BMW's but I am a mechanic by trade and have become passionate about the N54 platform and E92 chassis. I will be doing my own Walnut Blasting to my 54 very soon, especially after reading and learning all the info I have so far. Thank you for writing up such a great guide!

There are a quite a few DIY threads on here that you can look up if you want to tackle it yourself. If you can find an Indy near you that specializes in BMWs you can probably pay them to do it. I paid $350 for it in Southeast Louisiana...
