VK Motorwerks Oil Cooler Upgrade
I upgraded the OE oil cooler in our 335 over the weekend to the VKM oil cooler upgrade I have been staring at in the office floor for about a year, I have now officially installed the last of the backlog of parts that were stacked in the office for the 335
Vince assembled a pretty comprehensive DIY guide and props to VKM for bringing reasonably priced upgrades to market for BMW owners without the BMW tax. The oil cooler functions as advertised, I have seen on average 20 degree cooler temps. I have heard that the thermostat for the oil cooler is fully open at 240 degrees but it must ramp up to that point, I actually felt oil in the return line at about 190 degrees (in the garage checking for leaks, at idle). I added some notes and replaced/edited pictures on a web version adaptation of Vince's original guide, not to take away from Vince's excellent guide but I had time to take the pics and felt there were some things missing or that I was unclear on and felt some additional details might help others out. http://www.billswebspace.com/BMW335V...stallation.htm
