Bump!

Started my car let it idle and after about a minute I felt and heard a bump in the idle. Is this the start of something to fix or normal, Just turn 100 thousand mile reg maintenance done. Or is this nothing to worry about just heard it once.

You'll notice little hiccups here and there as the air/fuel/spark is doing it's thing, especially during warm up.. If the car runs fine and doesn't misfire or have any dme codes, I'd say it's nothing to worry about, but for piece of mind you could always run a code scanner and see if it pulls anything..

Worn spark plugs or a coil on its way out could cause this. Also dirty or clogged fuel injectors can possibly cause it. If the plugs haven't been changed in a while I would at least pull them out and check them. They are only good for about 50k. You can also try running some techron fuel system cleaner and see if it helps.

I just finished up a tank with Techron and was having the same issue.

Totally gone now. A little rough at startup before, now smooth as can be.

Very pleasantly surprised, i've always been skeptical of additives. Didn't expect such an improvement with a direct injection motor. Just ordered a couple more bottles for my RRS and E46.
