Mod friendly Dealer

Hey whats up guys? I got a f30 328i, new to bmws but not modding. I just purchased coilovers and some cosmetic items. How anal are bmw dealerships about mods? With my g37 i never had a issue! Let me know which dealers on long island are cool.

I had the suspension changed and cosmetic items done and a few cosmetic changes. My dealership never gave me any problems. I think they're more concerned about tunes or air intakes?

they might have a problem with down pipes, but you could always get a downpipe fix

Only go by 1st hand accounts, but Rallye BMW should be good since they sponsor almost all the East Coast BMW events (Eurofest, Bimmerfest East, etc)

It's not just the dealer tho, it's getting a quality SA... I got lucky with my dealer & they're all really cool guys. No problems with my FBO car, just remove the tune everytime I bring her in for service.

This especially.

You might still be told by an SA to take off mods when doing warranty work, but a good SA will let you know before hand and not void your existing warranty.

btw, a tip goes a LONG way. always tip a good SA. build a relationship. profit.

That's fine, the only time a dealer can do/say anything is if the aftermarket part you installed is causing the issue... i have a 335 n54 FBO and i've never had a problem. You just need to go see the right person. No single dealer is mod friendly...
