Chosing wheels for TiAg is maddening
Really, this is insane. I'm normally cut and dry about things, but this color makes it so hard to choose. I'll see a E90 in TiAg that looks great with gunmetal V710's on it and I'll be ready to order. Next thing you know, I'll see ones that look too dark and decide on silver.
Even the style for the E90 is hard to choose. I like the CSl look, but I also like the M5 rep look. I know, shame, but that gunmetal and machine face is sweet. Any TiAg folks care to chime in? In the end, it's what I like, but right now I can't decide. Ugh. Rant off. Thanks for listening. Ugh, sorry I forgot an 'o' in choosing. See? it's affected my typing skills.

Everyone's opinion is going to vary on which wheel model and finish looks best. Keep in mind that the wheel style and finish can always be changed at a later date. If you got a set of our V710s in gunmetal, and decided that you would want something a bit lighter, you can always have them powder coated.
As a general rule of thumb that I tell customers though, is that silver wheels to me gives a car a more timeless/classic look. Gunmetal is more suited for those looking for a nice aggressive look and to add contrast, without actually losing details in the wheels. Are you going more for an OEM+ look, or are you trying to have them look a bit more aftermarket? Here are a couple examples of silver and gunmetal on silver BMWs.

IMO you should get 19" silver VB3's with 9.5" for the front and 10" for the rear.
with these widths, the wheels are much more concave. good luck on your decision and keep us posted! TiAg FTW!!!

I'm 37, but I still want it aggressive and different. I agree, the silver is the classic look while the darker colors look more "tuned". I plan on tint, and probably a Mtech rear bumper with maybe a Mtech front, but that's it. Nothing crazy. That one picture you posted on the E90 is what had me sold on the 710's. I really like it. Just afraid it might be too dark and the wheels will be lost. That picture has the sun directly on it. I wish I was gutsy enough to run sunken treasure on mine. I just am not.

Agreed - it is maddening indeed. Currently running satin black LC818's. I think that satin black best complements the window trim and matte black grill look.

Can you show some pics? I have the blackline trim and I always thought it would match, but everytime I see a TiAg with solid black, I think I'm too old for that.

This is all you'll need, clear brush metal finish.

<=== Check my garage. I've got a couple pics in there. Not the greatest pics, but will give you an idea.

i would say go with a silver or brushed type finish for that clean/classy look. or maybe something with a light hyperblack and a polished step lip

That is sick. That just makes it harder. Good gosh. I can't put that much in wheels right now. I'm getting my pilot's license so flying takes a good portion of money. I wish I could. Those are sexy.

I likey. Just not sure I want that dark. I think I would for a while, then I'd want it lighter. Sweet ride!

I agree. Both the gunmetal and hypersilver look excellent. I just have to decide what works for me. If I don't like it, I can always change it. I just need to try it and see how I like it.

I think I debated too for a while and settled on hyper silver. It's brighter than the stock wheels.

Here are some more shots in dark contrast, regular lighting, and garage lighting. And if you get tired of the bright look, just don't wash them for a week or so and then they will be slightly darker, lol.
