Scans of e90 Individual Brochure
Just went to my dealer to see if he would let me 'cancel' my 330d in favour of a 335d coupé (now I know it's for real), but he said 'non' To keep me happy, he gave me a copy of the Individual brochure. It's a hardback book (!) with 32 pages and some nice photos of interior combos I hadn't seen before. I have scanned the last 4 pages showing the various - extremely expensive - options we can specify here in Europe. Enjoy

I have the pdf file of the complete brochure (in German).
I asked it when I ordered mine, but after seeing the prices, I lost interest... The colour combinations available are gorgeous, but if you start adding up the usual extras, plus the price of individual options, it becomes insane and illogical to buy a 3-Series, since it starts costing as much as a 5-Series, or others from the above segment. Just as an example, the leather costs almost 5000€, the trim 1000€, the metallic paint 2700€!!! And some of the options cannot be ordered separately, since they are only available in a package. In Europe, if you get the M-Sport pack, you'll get two options from the Individual program included: the "Individual headliner anthracite" and the "Individual high-gloss Satin Chrome". I ordered it and got them. It's nice, but the other options are price-forbidden. I received my car the other week. I'll try to post some pics, as soon as I have some time to get them. Anyway, maybe it interests someone... |

BMW individual was originally offer to serie7, now available to all model...but has you said, when you can buy a e90 full of BMW Individual extra....you 'd better go to a 5.
OK on a M3 or a cabrio-coupe, i can understand but i don't think that BMW Individual got a lot of client with E90-E91 buyers. for me it is a petty that the black trim are only available with BMW individual, Audi offer it to all model like other kind of alu or wood trim. LEmon with black trim......miammmm Paul330d for your info, lemon is ligther than Champagne individual. We were speaking about light leather like in british car. Since lemon is lighter, it is still different. Champagne or Ivoire has some kind of "old timer" spirit. Lemon looks more "modern" style. for me it fits exactly with a E90-91, since it is not a Jag or a british car. On the other hand i can't imagine a serie 7 even a 5 with a lemon interior

The piano black inserts may look good when the car is new, but imagine the dust and finger prints, especially on the centre console around the gear stick!

one more point, BMW individual prices are insane, for sure and i don't like all combo (some are horrible!), but you have also a different leather quality, it looks like the one in a 760 iL.

@rics
The prices are really shocking but in my opinion this is just what BMW wants. If the prices were lower probably you could see more cars with those unique paintworks and interiors on the streets. And in this case the individuality would be definitely lost. I think that according to BMW, all those who wants their car to stand out from the crowd have to pay very very much. Anyway, as said before, some of those colours/interior combinations are really strange but I like to have some of on diecast models, rather than on my real car. |

You are absolutely right Jackbmw!
They have the prices very high to maintain the exclusivity of the car. Which is fair, of course. But, for my budget, it was out of question. Maybe for my next BMW... Where I currently live, the price of my 320d with the extras I have put (almost everything) went above 62k€!! I only paid less (a bit more than half) because I got it with the Diplomatic Sales program. |

Geez, you get 50% discounts just because you're a high-earning diplomat? Unfair!

i can speak about diplomatic sales (it is my case too), but taking into account diplomatic prices, taxfree privilege and credit offer, i obtains about 40% discount.
rics can i ask you if you obtain more from your dealer? Paul330d, yes special BMW program(diplomatic, military or EU institution sales) allow ,if you are taking into account that in somes cases we don't have to pay the taxes (VAT), a total discount of about 40%.

You could almost make a living buying BMWs at 40% off and then selling them immediately on eBay!

Actually, I work at an EU organization (hence the diplomatic discount).
The price I was offered is the same everywhere in Europe. There is a Diplomatic Sales price list with the prices without VAT and without any national import tax, for all Europe. This list not only has the tax-free prices, but also has implicit a discount of around 10-15% of list price ex-tax. On top of that I got an extra 3% after negotiating the simultaneous purchase of 3 cars (for other two colleagues). My global discount was around 45-46%. But this depends on the taxation of each country. The higher it is, the more you notice the discount. In my case, I bought it in The Netherlands. And here the taxation is pretty high! Not as high as in the Scandinavian countries, but still one of the highest in EU. And, unforntunately, you cannot make a living out of it, because you are only entitled to have one at a time and, for selling it, you have to pay the respective taxes first! |

In Poland taxes on cars really stupid.
If you buy a car with an engine not bigger than 2000 ccm you pay: (car price)+22% VAT + 3,5% extra tax counted from car price with VAT But if you buy a car with a bigger engine than 2000 ccm you pay: (car price)+22% VAT + 13,5% extra tax counted from car price with VAT As a result there different prices of the same items of equipment depending on the motor you choose. So I don't doubt that people would rather buy 2nd hand cars rather support the f#$%^&* government. |

Rics i was suspecting your position! we are in the same case
I bougth the car in Belgian because the car will be registred in Belgian and the taxes (VAT) are already pretty high (21%). But i made the same analyse (searching EU country with the higher taxes since we don't pay it). Normally the price of a car without any taxes should be the same in all EU country since it is the money going to BMW, but sometime they prefer to reduce their profits in order to counterbalance the local taxes. If i would meet you before, may be you will buy 4 cars to your dealer...may be we could have more discounts!! I didn't success to obtain more discount on the price, but at the end i had a lower rate for the credit. May i ask you: the car will be registred in Belgian? or are you working in Den Haagen in NL? In Belgian, as far as i am understanding, i will have to pay registration taxes for the car (1200 Euros for a 2.0 L diesel with more than 150HP), did we have to pay the taxes? In our case the registration procedure is a little bit more complex. And i still didn't understand if i have to pay the registration taxe? Paul330d as mentionned, we can't make any businesses because the discounted taxes are controlled by a specific service from the institution.Nevertheless the diplomatic discount offers by BMW is not limited (15% + may be 3-4% like rics if your dealer is OK)

Hi,
You got it right: I'm in Den Haag and so I got it registered in NL. In my case, the registration was taken care by the dealer. I just had to get a couple of papers from my employer. I paid 630€ for all extra-car costs: transportation, registration, fuel tank full, etc... But, as far as I remember, the registation part of the costs was only around 100€. |

I knew it, i knew it..... Belgium is a pitty with their car registration taxes, they are using our old french system where the new car have to paid much more taxes (up to 4x).....
then they didn't understand why in Germany there is a majority of EURO3 or EURO4 car and in Belgium, there is still a plenty of old car that didn't fullfill EURO1 Norm. In Germany it is the opposite, new car are not taxed, but the old one (less "Umweltfreund"). Thus in Belgium a 2.0 Diesel (new common rail generation, Euro4 with particle filter) will paid 1200 euros for registration With a old 2.0 without turbo, smoking like a old truck (no CAT, no particle filter...) if the car is older than 7 years, you will paid about 200 euros. In my case, i paid to the dealer transport fee (150 Euros), preparation and paperswork are free (offered). But the registration taxes have to be payed by the owner about 1 month later directly to the administration. What i am not sure is: as EU employe have we to pay this registration taxe? it seems in NL, you have to but it is only about 100 euros because of different local regulation
