did anyone ever find out if this was normal for the 335d engine ?

only for the first 5 mins in colder weather. Just find it annoying every morning and evening.

2006 330d, mine is certainly the turbo, although since removing the dpf its a bit louder now but this noise has always been there since I bought the car 18 months ago and almost silent when warmed up, Ive done 15k and its still the same, imo not worth worrying about until you either start getting blue oily smoke from the exhaust or the turbo gives up, otherwise you start to get paranoiac over every stange noise that occurs.
