The one I used is P/N: 11-42-7-541-827

I've got a 325i, but RealOEM lists the 330i as using the same filter as mine. I'd double check with your dealer that they gave you the right part.

-EDIT: I ran that P/N through RealOEM. It didn't find any matches.

That filter you have is correct

The one you have has replaced 11-42-7-541-827 that others have had.

Both numbers are still approved for the 330i and 325i

I just bought the oil filter(11 42 7 566 327) from the dealer last week & change the oil last weekend. As E90FLEET said, both can be use for the 325 & 330 until the dealers run out of the old filter.

E90Fleet, is there any difference between the two or is the part number just changed? If so, does the new one have better filtering properties? Thanks.

Havent held the 2 together, but I think its just a number change

They often change numbers on things like filters and bulbs when they change batches from suppliers or change back and forth between suppliers.

Or you may find it has a tiny difference that has nothing to do with the N52 engine, but is needed to fit one of the newer engines like the N54

Both are still shown as approved for the N52
