First armored M5 I've ever seen atleast...

I guess thats what you gotta do if you live in a dangerous area. Though with the money to do that to my M5 (which i would never do) I would just opt for the 7 series security car or the armored s600

That's a pretty common thing for people to do to their cars in parts of the world where it is dangerous. It is usually the people who are rich and can actually afford it, as you can probably tell from the price tag of such options/customizations.

I've read an awesome review of armored 2007 Mercedes S-Class. Armored cars are usually used by politicians and anyone related to government, so those who want to kill such people have stronger weaponry than cars can sustain. If you really wanna be protected, better use this:

or this:

No. I'm not sure if it's Brazil or Argentina, but there's a South American country that allows you to run stop signs at night partly because carjackings are too common down there. Rich people in places like that get kidnapped and held for ransom.

In Brazil nobody stays at stoplight at late hours, it's not safe specially in Rio or Sao Paulo. Again, don't take the wrong impression. This kid is probably a son of a politician or a well-know guy in Brazil. Take in consideration a 335i in Brazil costs around $170K, imagine a M5.... I'm from there and you don't see that violence on the streets. The only cities that are considered dangerous are Rio and Sao Paulo, the rest is all good and people are generally nice and friendly and loves the tourists. I have tons of Americans friends that goes there a lot and love the country and never saw any violence at all.

TC M3- Are you from Brazil?

That applies to Brasil, especifically in Sao Paulo, which is where that M5 is from.
