You either have much better eye sight than me or have Sapphire black. I can't seen any metallic in my Jet Black.

I owned a Jet Black M3 for 3 years. Allowed me to become proficient as a detailer, but immunized me against ever owning a black car again. It was exhausting!

328 is correct. The new Jet Black known as "Schwarz II" is different to the original Schwarz jet black used on previous model BMW's. The new water based paint technology used, presents greater challenges for paint durability and longevity and as such, Schwarz II is now a two part paint with a metallic base even though it is not known as a "metallic". The metallic part is not made to provide any visual effect and that's why it is barely visible and only noticeable under intense halogen lighting.

I purchased the "Jet Black" touch up paint for the current E9# 3 Series range called 668 Schwarz II. The previous E4# 3 Series range was just plainly called Schwarz. For those that don't know, Schwarz simply means "Black" in German !!

Love my Jet Black, but really hard to keep clean this time of the year. Road salts, sand etc make it difficult to keep up with maintenance.

I love having Jet Black. Except i want to throw up every time i have to drive on salted roads. I couldnt stand it last week and ran through the car wash when it was 20 F outside.

i love my jet black, its very nice when clean, but as most people said, its hard to keep it clean...i hate it when its spring though cause of the pollen. however in the summer when its nice and warm, and i can wash often, looks great!

I had an 06' e90 in Jet Black. Most challenging color ever. I had to re-learn all my detailing techniques and practically made me obsessive with keeping it clean.
It did look awesome when done right.

Its worth the work. And with the right treatment its not so hard .
Seal it when its new. Keep it vaxed every 30 days. You only need to wash it once a week then.
