Love it

Shame that from a distance the fade to carbon just makes the recess look dirty (imo)

Cheers.

Know what you mean but don't mind that as previously the whole lid just looked black from a distance

Excellent job raj, I suspect you'll enjoy it for the summer whilst looking for your next project

Thanks buddy.

Now......if this had been me a number of years ago then yes I certainly would already be looking . However, she's a keeper (like the X5 tbh) and I'll happily keep fettling more and more when the need arises. Tbf, I've still got a few things still to do yet anyway

The painted carbon fade behind the number plate is stunning. Never seen it before. Very under the radar touch but beautiful when you notice it.

You should open a poll thread for how long the next set of wheels take to come!

Russ was a real credit with taking a lot of extra time/effort to ensure it was as good as can be.

Got side gills, kidneys and washer jet covers back in. Although for the pics the bonnet vents are in they have been sent back due to the finish not quite being what they should.

A few little things still to sort but it's good to finally have her back.

Thanks,

Raj.
OMFG! It turned out so well!!

Thanks buddy

Certainly has turned out better than expected. Rear three quarter shot is superb now. Can't wait to get the Rays back on.

Just read through this thread. Started off thinking 'but why?', now kind of understand why. Don't think I'd have the patience for what you'be done, but recognise you've achieved something very special! Congrats to you.

Can I ask, what now? Have you taken her as far as you can, or are you already planning your next mod?

Apologies missed this post.

Thanks for the reply and comments. Yes a lot of people do ask why, but as you say it's very individual and one of a kind now.

I've just done the upgraded headlight conversion with satin black shrouds and Fxx style angel eyes (dual colour too which is very trick), and bought another set of rims for winter use, so no it never stops.

There are other things I'd like to do but will hold off for a while now.

So although I haven't updated this for a while I have been doing stuff.

Decided another change of wheels was in order
Tbf the CSLs looked spot on but was having to run a 25mm spacer up front to fill out the arch so wasn't ideal.

Decided to go with genuine 220 (OE M3) rims done in shadow chrome.

Looks good me thinks:
