thanks for the info, I'm planning on being on coils and really slamming it so I'm wondering how low I can go w/o a roll.

That Duke Dynamics diffuser is my favorite one for the MTech bumper. I don't care for those two outboard fake vents above the exhaust tips on the BMW Performance diffuser. It's too busy-looking to me.

They also make a quad-tipped version of this diffuser, for either the standard Cyba quad tips or the larger Bastuck quads.

I never saw them as fake vents but I guess I can see that now. I think what makes the is diffuser look great is that the two diffuser slats/strakes are perfectly defined and tightens up the rear of the car greatly.

Could you elaborate on how you did your badges with Plasti-Dip? Did you mask off each number and letter? Did you use the spray or do it by brush? It seem like an involved masking job.

Thanks!

from what I understand plasti dip only adheres to the emblems. You can literally peel off the excess by hand.

I would take the emblems off and then re-attach them, too much risk to mess up the paint.

Hey everyone... new here.

2011 black 335is, dakota white leather interior.

Love every single thing about the car except the awful stock radio and the headliner rattle I seem to have developed.

I started my lease in September and somehow manage to have only 4500 miles on her. When I turn it in 2 years from now, someone is going to get a very well cared for, low mileage car.

That stock radio issue is easy to resolve if you don't mind putting more money into it.

As for the rattle? Check the cover on the B-pillar, near the seat belt opening. Grip that cover and push it in while wiggling sideways and see if that resolves the rattle.

I was trying it at home depo lol. Couldn't bring myself to buy it and use it. I think ima take off the emblems, sand down and paint them myself.

Thanks for the recommendation on the rattle... I'll try it out during lunch.

As for the sterero, I'd like to keep it stock/BMW if I can as its a lease... or at least something I can swap out easily if and when I return the car. Is it possible to upgrade to the Harmon at this point, or would I have to go aftermarket? I leased the car off the lot (black... which I wouldn't do again because of swirl marks and surface scratches) and the radio was the one thing I would have upgraded.

Anyone also test drive the S4? I never got a chance to and always wondered how it compared... thinking about taking a test drive at some point just to assure myself I made the right call.

I test drove S5 not S4 but same engine and transmission. (Only convertible has 3.0L supercharger with s-tronic. Coupe remains old 4.2L N/A with 6-speed auto)

From my perspective, performance wise, neither of them were impressed me at all.
Test driving both over 60k cars should be fun but it was kinda boring.
I was smiled once I left dealership with my 335is.

My 335IS comes in to my dealership in two days!! I cant wait. I got the Mineral White/Coral Red.

I was thinking about powder coating my 19" 313 style wheels gloss black and to put a red stripe around the rim? What you guys think?

Also removing the rear badge and thinking of powder coating it red to contrast the color more. For the guys that have removed the badge and put it back on, what did you exactly use to stick it back on??

lol... I'm just trying to think of ways to accent the red a little more. I'm trying to make my car match my Ducati 848... she's a pearl white with red seats, red, rear sets, black wheels with a red stripe.... hmmm

Hey yall, sorry it's been awhile since I posted in here, been quite busy. But here's my progress soo far. Vanguard exhaust is coming in and also A&R Designs Catless DP. I'll post up a vid when their installed. Also aftermarket hood doesn't fit well on our cars, it seems the LCI is a light diffrence. The front bumper doesn't pull up as much as the old m-tech, the hood is slightly shorter. But i'll deal with it, here are some pics.

No I don't park like that, I was infront of my mom's law firm after closing hours

Dukes Dynamics Diffuser. Yeah I change diffuser's alot haha. Got it painted to match the car with glossy black in the middle.

My Stance haha. H&R Race springs with Koni shocks. BBS LM Reps. 19x8.5 and 19x9.5

^lovin the wheels, stance and diffuser. The black hood is just a bit much for me. Are you planning on painting it?

also, does anyone know where I can buy a simple black plate frame that says 335is? I'm planning on debadging the rear for symmetry but I'd still like the plate frame to tell people what it is
