2011 335i Bluetooth Audio

Hi everyone,

I have an '11 335i with no navigation package and was wondering if there was a way to get Bluetooth audio to my car speakers. It makes calls through Bluetooth, but it would be nice to be able to stream music from my phone's music player to the speakers.

My wife's '12 X3 has all the bells and whistles and it streams it.. I am hoping there is a way mine can too!

I don't believe you can do this if you DON'T have idrive. I have an '11 335i with no idrive/navi, post Sept build, and have not been able to do BT streaming. I have an Android phone, but don't think those with iPhone's are able to do either. The BMW site shows you cannot stream without idrive. I have upgraded HK sound too, but doesn't seem to matter.

That said, I did try an iPhone 4S thru USB and got that to work...sounds so much better than Aux. Guess I might have to get an iPhone...I spend a lot of time in the car and for the sound quality difference, it might be worth it. Good Luck!

That works pretty nicely. Audio quality isn't the best, but worth the convenience.

I just got one recently, and I must say, its awesome. You just get in your car and press play on your iphone/a2dp compatible bluetooth device. You don't have to press any buttons on the thing. My only problem now is trying to find a 2 inch aux cable so it looks cleaner (the one it comes with is pretty long for inside the armrest).
