Buying from a 335i Non-BMW Dealer
So I found a 2008 335i Sedan with 52k miles on a Honda dealership. I want to check it out and possible take it home but my question is about warranty. Will I be able to buy a separate warranty from the closest BMW from me or am I SOL?
Also will I be able to request all recalls done, etc from the Honda dealer or needs to be from BMW? also any problems I should look out for when I check out the car? I'm a first time BMW buyer so any help would be appreciated. |

You can buy a warranty from anyone. Search the forum...I usually use CarChex b/c they dont tell you where to go for warranty work and they usually pay the shop immediately so you dont have to pay out of your pocket. You can go to BMW or an Indy for the work. Ask for the service history to see if it well maintained. The HPFP is under warranty for 10 yrs and 120k mi, the turbo/wastegates are under warranty for 8 yr/ 82K miles. Search...listen for wastegate rattle and ask them if you can take it for a 3rd party inspection (PPI) at a local BMW dealer or Indy. GL!
