However I was advised that it should free up a bit more maybe 3-10bhp.

My only advice is if you cant rolling road before a re-map how can you tell how much increase the re-map has given.

Overall though I still ran the car in gently and had sympathy for this process, I would never be able to wait until first service which is showing at 22k.

My MPG is excellent at between 51mpg to 64mpg on average.

GET IT DONE ITS WORTH EVERY PENNY
64mpg on average?!! 1000 miles per tank!? hmmm

When I drove on the M25 at 56mph for one hour with cruise control on and after an hour the OBC says average 64 MPG then the MPG has to be in the region of 64 MPG.

Using a whole tank at 56 mph in near perfect conditions is not going to happen is it, however the above did.

If you want me to take that smile off your face drive to High Wycombe area and we can see 64mpg.

Driving at 56mph with the cruise control on for an hour, isn't what I'd call an "average".

I don't doubt you can get to 64mpg, but saying its an average isn't really right is it. Bearing in mind you have to get up to that speed somehow?!

If thats the way we're going to quote mpg from now on, then I can get 40mpg "average" from my B3 Biturbo!

PS Why exactly would I want you to take the smile off my face?!

Thats great isn't it. You're abusing the car to the max, and its seriously quick, yet the mpg is what a normal petrol might get!
