No Heat and cant find water control valve
Hi Guys,
So I dont have heat in my 325i and I am really hoping to get it fixed before winter haha. The AC works completely fine but it just doesnt blow out hot air though any of the vents on any different settings. I pulled up the diagram for my heater core though RealOEM and I cant find where this stupid valve is in my car.. Plus REALOEM doesnt even have a listing for it (whatever part #2 is in) http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=64_1774 Im just hoping its not the heater core and want to try to see if the valve is faulty before ripping apart my whole dash and potentially wasting a weekend and a couple hundred dollars. Also could there be any other problem spots before the heater core to check? Thanks a bunch for your help! |

Yeah I was doing more research and it looks like you're right. I am going to try to flush the core with compressed air but I was wondering where exactly the lines go though the firewall so I can track them down and try it before I admit defeat haha.

Back flushing may buy you a little more time, it's worth a shot. My heater core went at 27k, it's pretty common. The lines come through the fire wall pretty low, just about next to and below the intake manifold, then run forward along the frame rail and connect to the radiator.
