335i Rear diff maintenance??

Hi, I have a very slight high pitched humming noise coming from the rear. Car is sitting at 63k miles and I've just replaced the rear tyres thinking it was road noise caused by uneven tyre wear (tyres were uneven by the way). Noise isn't metallic and there is no clunking type noises. I know the oil is sealed for life.

Sounds like a wheel bearing is on its way out.

What tyres you put on it , Directional ones are a real bugg*r for making a droning noise ..

I've just put on avon zz3's which are directional tyres. Tbh the noise is barely noticable but I know it's there.
