I have had the JB4 and it is great for its price. However, since then I have moved to Cobb tune. So if you are asking for my personal opinion I think where you are gonna spend $500 spend a little bit more and get the Cobb tune. To me it is better then JB4.

My name is Tyler. But I don't put my real name onto an internet forum, even in my profile details if I'm afraid of.... it being on an internet forum.

I digress, the block can handle it though. My question is have you dynoed your ignition advance on a mustang? Before and after. That will stress test the car more so than a dynojet. There is a reason cobb runs 11 degrees at redline meth or not.
For what it's worth, here are the results that we achieved with water-methanol on an N54. Tests were performed on a Mustang dyno.

Strong numbers for a Mustang dyno, any of your customers run the 1/4 mile? Curious to see what trap speeds they are seeing.

The only video I have on my computer is Mr. 5's 1/4 mile run. I believe he trapped 118-119.

If you go to the accompanying youtube page, I believe there are some full weight runs in there.

Just to clarify, those runs were done before Sac Raceway calibrated their timing system to NHRA specifications. Back then (on the very same day in fact), two customer cars were running 124-125mph traps. Since the recalibration, trap speeds dropped by several mph as shown by Mr.5's more recent outing to Sac Raceway:

Thanks for clarifying, Shiv! 124-125 traps are very impressive, even if the calibration is slightly off. You know I have to respond though!

I've had Cobb and it was ok, but now that I have the JB4 with the new maps with E85 tuning and the capabilities of Meth, on the fly features, there's no turning back

Power is so much better and stronger

For the price and support, JB4 is the way to go

Trust me live and learn

I'm a noob to bmw's but I've been in the tuning scene for about 10 years. 40whp from a tune on a stock car is rediclious!
i felt the same way too. tuning american cars(vetsc5) and z28 net good results but took a lot of trial and error and a host of questions on those forums. that being said to literally plug and play with no learning timing, fuel , load and a lot more parimeter to make it all work properly i truly know for a fact it is the best mod ever!
