Turbo upgrade on N54 335i

Hi Chaps,

for anyone who's got experience with the twin turbo upgrade on 335i's how complex a job do you find it?

I'm basically wondering do I trust the job only to an experienced BMW independent (who's done this before) or spend half the money with a garage near me. They've never done a 335i before but they have fitted turbos to Civics, Evo, Scoobies etc. They've dropped engines. Done rebuilds etc. They seem pretty good and as it's a 12 hour job, there's potentially a few hundred quid difference in price.

I'm supplying everything they need, parts wise.

This sounds tasty!

Personally if the garage has done as many turbo jobs as that i would not worry about trusting them. Evos and scoobies are just as if not more complex to work on than an N54...

I assume they have the auto data instructions to follow. If so, go with your local turbo specialist.
Don't get me wrong though, it's an utter shit of a job! The guys that did mine said that they'd never do one again!
