Just curious...what are some of the common things that get coded?

I would like a few simple things (not having to push the accept button, mirrors folding when the car is shut off) but my list could grow as hear what other people are doing.

I'm in too, I'll throw in for some food as well. Anyone have a simple list of things which can be done with coding? I saw a big excel sheet with tons of stuff on it. For me, I just want the passenger seat-belt chime to stop going off, the 37 degree (it's cold out) warning to go away and the "accept" on my nav to stop showing up each time I turn the car on

Everything mentioned so far can be done except the frost warning (I wish!). I'll post a list tomorrow when I have time.

When exactly this happens depends on lilrocket since he's hosting. I'm guessing he'll wait until it gets properly warm out, which may take a while. Until then I still do individual appointments if anyone is in a particular hurry.

Here is a list of commonly requested functions. Not all of them are available to all model years.

- Digital speedometer
- Windows up with keyfob
- Fold mirrors with keyfob
- Doors unlock when key removed
- Wipers complete cycle if engine turned off in the middle
- Disable door open gong
- Disable seatbelt chime
- Corner orange LED delete
- Fog lights as welcome lights (in addition to angels)
- Fog lights and high beams can be on at the same time
- Disable iDrive legal disclaimer
- DVD in motion

If you would like to wade through a more exhaustive list you can see it here, but I must warn you there is a lot of useless/obscure stuff in there.

Bender I've got a question for ya.

Let me explain whats going on with my depot lights. They are projectors with LED angels and LED signals, but halogen lights, not xenon. When I first start the car they all just flicker rapidly, but if I change the position of the light switch from whatever (auto, off on, etc) to ANY other position it stops that and they are fine. Not a huge deal but quirky.

The HUGE deal is that so far for the 2 mornings I've had the lights I'll start the car up and the driver's side LED signals will flicker for a bit and eventually go out. I'll get a bulb error and when I signal left I get no front signal. After a while both days they just started working on their own and continue to do so for the rest of the day. My first thought was that its the cold, but thats not how LEDs work and it wouldn't be just the driver's side that is cold. I have no idea how to fix this, but I absolutely need my signals working obviously.

If coding can fix this I'd pay to have it done immediately.

Doubt it, you likely have the older CCC iDrive which doesn't have DVD playback at all, parked or not. Basically what I do is take away the restriction that makes DVD playback stop when the car starts moving; I can't magically enable DVD playback if the hardware doesn't support it to begin with.

Not a dumb question... unfortunately, there is no software way to do it, you would have to do a full on hardware retrofit.
