PROCEDE V5 questions
first off i did search but i didnt find the info on the v5, only v4 canibus.
i just installed a procede v5 in my car a few days ago. i am running on map 2. few questions 1- how do i switch maps (only by pushing the DTC button) 2- how to i get the gas/oil temp gauge turn into the boost/af gauge? 3- what are the different maps ?i know: map 0 = valet map 1 = mild boost map 2 = moderate boost map 3 = ? 4- vishnu said that they unlocked all my maps, but i can only get to 3 on the rpm count when pressing dtc, why is that, does that me i only have the 4 maps? 5- is the auto tune on automatically? 6- is their any features worth wild to activate by hooking up my labtop to the ecu and turning on in the command center? comment- ive been driving the car for 3 days now, it feels faster but now it feels the same again. did i get use to the power already? whay map is stock mode so i can compare the two? btw i run 93 oct and DCi if that makes a difference. thanks

This should answer most if not all your questions: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=464460
If you just got your procede you may have the 3-30 DIC beta maps which has no autotune and a much smoother power band..hence why you have no "kick" like the JB4/previous autotune maps. Last edited by domrep; 05-03-2011 at 08:40 AM.. |

2. Go into the command center before starting the car. There is a whole list on the website and with all the downloads too that will tell you exactly which command does this and how to input them 3. Map 0: Stock Map 1: mild boost Map 2: moderate boost Map 3: Naturally Aspirated Mode Map 4: Can be activated by plugging your laptop into the car I believe. It's the meth map 4. You have to activate the meth map 5. Depends on which version you're running. If it's a Beta map then no. Just ask Vishnu or plug in your computer to check 6. Depeds. Just look at the things I wrote and decide for yourself. Btw, I feel like map 2 is high for 93 and DCI. I run downpipes, fmic, intake, etc and I only use map 2 very occasionally |

haha thanks everyone.
this car still feels slow im just trying to figure out if i can mess with the procede setting to make it feel better. so no autotune interesting.. does anyone have a recommended setting for the adjustable percentages (boost/throttle/ dtc) in the command center? also putting in downpipes in a week do i need to turn on the o2 sensor fix or will it automatically come on? (edit) i have the 3-30dic map any major disadvantages to running map 2?? the car feels ok right now. maybe i should log it , then review to see if im doing damage? so without the auto tune the highest boost ill see is 13.5psi?? only way to get around that is by adjusting it manually in the command center? ugh guess i have to run the wire into the cabin now -_-

Also, I encourage you to read the FAQ on Visnhu's website before you start changing the map settings, you could hurt the car. You can also download the older V5 maps and enable autotuning again, you don't need to stick with the 3/30 maps which are still in beta testing.

you can even raise initial boost to 50 or 55% with those mods and octane.

boost leak maybe? Do you hear any hissing sounds when you spool up? have you worked on the car lately where you could have loosened a clamp maybe?

i currently only have DCI's and am running on map two. had a long telelphone discussion with robert of vishnu, he said map 2 was g2g with the DCI so that the turbos arent working so hard to breathe in the extra air. you dont suffer performance on map 2 vs 1 in fact map two is noticeably stronger and more responsive as far as im concerned.

You guys shouldnt try to floor it until oil is up to temp. There is a safety feature on the PROcede to prevent high boost until the oil is up to temp. |

i will try it again today (weather permitting) once the temp moves from 160, i thought the car was warmed up because i drove it for about 5min before pushing it..
i hope its not a boost leak or some thing like that. yea i also confirmed with rob@vishnu about map 2 with the dic maps being ok to run with just dci.
